Potential delays for U.S. customers
Share
Starting on August 29th, the U.S. will begin processing and assessing duties for all incoming packages, regardless of value (prior to the 29th, packages valued at less than $800 were exempt).
However, it seems that there is not yet a clear system in place to handle the sudden policy change, and many shipping carriers are warning of delays (and perhaps a period of chaos) while U.S. customs adapts to the change.
We really have no idea what to expect, but for now, our carrier Sagawa will continue sending shipments to the U.S.
Our finger are crossed that things will go smoothly, but please be prepared to wait a bit longer than normal if you are in the U.S.
Thank you so much for your support and understanding.
